Awards: $700 Best of Show, $500 First Place, $300 Second Place, $100 Third Place/ Philip G. Paratore, Jr. Memorial Award, and merchandise and book awards.

Signature Member: This honorary recognition is obtained by having artwork shown in three (3) National Juried Shows. This awards the artist an N.S.A. Medallion and the privilege of using "N.S.A." after his or her signature. For the list of Signature Members, press the link on the Membership page.

10/24/10 Sunday Between noon and 4:00 pm, pick up hand-delivered artwork. Crate artwork.


Juror: William J. Kalwick, Jr.
William Kalwick's art was influenced by his late father who studied with Lajos Marcos, a prominent portrait painter. In 1981, William moved to Houston, Texas and became the protege of Lajos Marcos. His paintings cover a wide range of subject matter, but he is best known for his Mexican market scenes, figurative work, and portraits. Mr. Kalwick has participated in many shows including The Masters of the American West at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles and the Prix de West at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. His paintings hang in collections throughout North America and Europe.

Entries:
Only CDs with entries in a JPEG format will be accepted. Please orient your entries on the CD in the way they are to be viewed. On the front of the CD with a CD pen or Sharpie please number and title your work in the order they are on the CD. CDs will not be returned.

Any work that is not securely assembled, or that is improperly labeled, or that is otherwise unsuitable for display will not be shown. In such an instance, the entry fee will not be refunded. Submission of work and payment of entry fees shall imply agreement with all conditions stated in this prospectus.

Sales tax will be collected and paid by The Center for the Arts & Sciences.

Eligibility: This exhibition is open to all artists. Work that has been shown in a previous NSA National juried Show may not be entered again.
• Photography and computer generated art (printed on paper only) and original works in all media accepted.
• Works must have been completed in the last three years.
No Giclees of originals accepted.
• 3-D size limit is 4 ft x 7 ft tall and easily moved by 2 people.
• Minimum size is 5"x7" unframed; maximum is 48"x48" including the frame. All diptych and triptych works must be entered as separate entries unless they are physically connected and hang as one unit
• All two dimensional works must be installation ready, with mat, frame or finished edge, Plexiglass and wired for hanging where appropriate. No glass or sawtooth hangers allowed.
• Attach filled out artwork information label on back to upper left corner of the artwork.
All artwork must remain for the duration of show.
 

Entry Fee & Expenses:
• $30 for the first 2 entries; $10 for each additional; total limit of 5 (5=$60).
• For shipping fees, the artist has the additional expense of insurance and freight charges, plus a $20 handling fee. It is required that you ship your art work prepaid return. Detailed information will be sent with acceptance form.
• A 20% tax deductible donation will be expected for sales made as result of this show.

Packing: Do not use peanuts for packing your artwork.

Liability: The National Society of Artists and the The Center for the Arts & Sciences will take all possible precautions with artwork submitted to this show but will not assume any responsibility for loss, damage, or theft resulting from this show.

- Self-addressed stamped envelope.
- Check or money order payable to NSA
